Only the Best.
What I tell my clients is that I use only the best materials I can find. I find that only the best is going to last the longest. Only the best is going to withstand the elements. Only the best will not warp, crack, peal or deteriorate. It’s a bit selfish on my part, but I want happy customers that will be happy for a long long time. I want to drive by the sign and brag about it for years to come.
This double sided sign to the right has a welded steel frame imbedded between two layers of High Density Urethane, with PVC white letters and details set in Lord Adhesives epoxy and stand 1/2 inch proud of the sign surface. The base signis painted with 3 coats of professional sign primer and 4 coats Ben Moore’s Aura exterior paint, their top level paint. The hardware is all 300 series stainless steel. The sign hanger is steel with black satin powder coat. It is 3-1/2 inches thick and 36 inches in diameter.

I will help the client decide what they want and make sure it is what the client wants, not what I want to make. I do this with a personal interview with the client to get a general idea then I create a preview for the client to critique and approve before I fabricate what they want.
This sign to the left is one piece. It is carved out of a solid block of HDU (high density urethane). It is 1 inch thick 8 inches tall and 38 inches wide. All the gold is 1/2 inch proud of the black background. The black background is a black smaltz background. It’s like crushed glass. You will see this on high end sinage. It sparkles and is beautiful.
This sign has an Alupanel backing. All of the Fleur De Le is custom designed and made just for this sign out of HDU. The Tenant inserts are 1 inch thick V-Grooved. The “Dale Moinheiro” insert is one piece raised prismatic letters. The Fleur De Le is adhered with high quality epoxy, not of the Home Depot variety. The black background is a black smaltz.
This sign is rather large. I did not install and I did not make the vertical poles or concrete bases. The top section is 24 inches tall by 120 inches wide. It is made by laminating pressure treated 2x4 frame perimeter with 1/4 thick Alupanel (Aluminum skin with PVC core) on each side, bonded and sealed and 300 series screws. It is painted with 3 coats of professional sign primer and 4 coats of Ben Moore Aura exterior. The lighter gray is 1 inch thick HDU with V-Grooved letters and painted with Ben Moore White. It is attached to the back with 300 series SS screws.
The lower section is 8 feet tall by 10 feet wide. Same construction as the topper section. The tenant sections and made to be replaceable.
